Eligibility:

  • In order to qualify, you must have four to six years of experience working as a labor relations officer or consultant with large departmental portfolios (including handling grievances, arbitrating disputes, taking part in contract negotiations, enacting comprehensive workforce legislation, and mentoring human resources and management).
  • Any combination of extra experience, an HR certificate, and/or a second related certificate in mediation/education/negotiations may be taken into consideration along with a degree in human resources, industrial relations, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
  • A thorough understanding of municipal institutions and job categories, as well as practical experience in equivalent roles within other organizations.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to plan, create and lead cases.
  • Ability to produce, prepare, collate, and coordinate highly sensitive material with a high level of accuracy and efficiency while preserving secrecy.
